My last song to Bill, “The Only Scars in Heaven”. I’m so sorry I couldn’t be there to help you & say goodbye.
“If I had only known the last time would be the last time, I would have put off all the things I had to do. I would have stayed a little longer, held on a little tighter. Now what I'd give for one more day with you. 'Cause there's a wound here in my heart where something's missing. And they tell me that it's gonna heal with time. But I know you're in a place where all your wounds have been erased and knowing yours are healed is healing mine. I know the road you walked was anything but easy. You picked up your share of scars along the way. Oh,but now you're standing in the sun. You've fought your fight and your race is run. The pain is all a million miles away. There's not a day goes by that I don't see you.You live on in all the better parts of me. Until I'm standing with you in the sun, I'll fight this fight and this race I'll run until I finally see what you can see”Patti

“Ultimately, none of us have control over the length of our life because all the days ordained for us have already been written in God’s book (Psalm 139:16). So the important issue is how we use the days He has allotted to us. As we share the Lord’s love near and far, we should remember our citizenship is in heaven (Phil. 3:20); we’re passing through this earthly life as travelers. If we become too comfortable here or seek to find our security and worth in worldly success, it won’t be possible to maintain an eternal perspective. “
Written by Dr Charles Stanley & a reminder that all our days are numbered & we must use them well to serve others & not ourselves. Bill was a faithful servant of the Lord & brought great joy to all those he knew & served so willingly & graciously.

This is one of Bill’s favorite Bible verses that he quoted to me often which I hope is an encouragement to all that knew him:
“So we do not look at what we can see right now, the troubles all around us, but we look forward to the joys in heaven which we have not yet seen. The troubles will soon be over, but the joys to come will last forever.” (II Corinthians 4:18).
Bill went to his heavenly home in perfect peace because of God’s perfect love, perfect grace, perfect mercy, & perfect timing. Joy will come in the morning when we meet again dear, sweet Bill. Your trials, pain, & tribulations are over. You’re home now with the rest of your family where there will be no more tears & sad goodbyes, only joy & happiness forever more.

Bill was a devout man of God & one of the kindest & smartest men I have ever known. He always put others before himself, he never complained about anything, & he never expected anything in return for all that he so willing gave & did for others. He had a wonderful sense of humor & he was always smiling. He emulated the Beatitudes (Matthew 5:1-12) every day of his life. He was humble, gentle, patient, forbearing, loving, encouraging, kind, compassionate, & forgiving. He was taken from all of us much too soon but his broken body is now healed & he’s fighting in God’s army now because on earth he fought the good fight, he finished the race, he kept the faith. (II Timothy 4:7) He was loved by all that knew him & he will be greatly missed. REST IN PEACE “SWEET WILLIAM” BECAUSE YOU HAVE FINALLY FOUND PERFECT PEACE & HAPPINESS WHERE THERE WILL NEVER BE PAIN & HEARTACHES AGAIN. Loved you then, love you still, always have, always will.
