Betty May Koetje, age 92, of Alto, MI, went home to her Lord on Wednesday, February 1, 2023.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; son, Rodger, sister, Frances Klies.  Lovingly remembering Betty are her children, Lynnette Koetje-Sterzik, Randal Koetje, Lorrie (Doug) Shepard, Lisa (Sam) Burwell; daughter-in-law, Shawn Koetje; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brother, Ralph (Mary) Henry; sister-in-law, Gloria Slachter; brother-in-law, Ron Koetje; several nieces and nephews.  The visitation and funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 5, at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids.  The visitation will be from 2 to 3 PM.  The funeral service will begin at 3 PM with Pastor Allen Strouse, officiating.  Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross.
