He taught myself and a lot of other children discipline and how to shoot guns. I appreciate him and the memories from Central High.

Ed Davis, affectionately known as Sgt. Davis was a legend to many former J.R.O.T.C cadets throughout his career. Many of us looked up to his stern leadership skills. He helped young cadets perfect their skills as members of the armed drill teams, un armed drills teams, and many other teams. He cared and had a passion for leading and training young People to become better Americans. It is truly a sad day. Rest In Peace Sarg.

Ed was a mentor to me as I began my relationship with the Kent County Veterans Honor Guard. He taught me the nuances of the Detail Commander role by his dedication and attention to detail.

It was a privilege and honor to serve with him in the Honor Guard. We will miss his council, leadership and most importantly his friendship.

God Speed Top, you have made that last Parachute Jump into the arms of Maria and Irene!
