Candis "Candy" May Gentit

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Northwest Gospel Hall, 1350 Garfield Ave, NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. Psalm 116:15

Candis “Candy” May Gentit passed into the presence of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on April 28, 2021. She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her mom and dad, Helen & Frank Farrow; brother, Herbert Woolston; sister, Helen Woolston; father-in-law, Clarence Gentit; and brother-in-law, Ronald Heemstra. She is survived by her children, Stephanie (Todd) Flath, Teresa (Eduardo) Rizo, Jeff (Dawn) Gentit, Danielle Slater; grandchildren, Tyler & Liz Flath, Eddie, Isabela, Antonio & Emilio Rizo, Faith, Joy, Isaac & Caleb Gentit, Hayden & Morgan Slater; ex-husband and friend, Dennis Gentit; sisters, Nelva (Dan) Melcher, Barbara Heemstra, Frankie Briggs, Cindy (Mike) Harrington, Cora Bear; brother, John Farrow; mother-in-law, Mary Jane Gentit; brothers & sisters-in-law, Dean (Paula) Gentit, Peter (Penny) Gentit, Peggy (Bill) Studenka, David (Cynthia) Gentit; and many special nieces and nephews. Our mom was a woman who loved the Lord and loved her family, making a special effort to include her children’s spouses as her own. She loved helping people, which taught us to have a servant’s attitude. Mom was very generous and worked hard to support our family, often working 2 or 3 jobs at a time. She retired from Meijer after 20 years of service, as a cashier and then pharmacy technician. A memorial will be held for Mom on Saturday, July 10, 2021, 2:00pm at Northwest Gospel Hall, 1350 Garfield Ave NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504.

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment, so Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Hebrews 9:27-28
