Eugene Amos Shaver

Eugene Amos Shaver, of Kentwood, MI, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 15, 2021, at the age of 73, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and a short battle with Cancer. Eugene was preceded in death by his father, Hiram Shaver; mother, Donna Shaver; sisters, Delores Shaver, Clairene Dunstan, Judith Havens, Patricia McKenzie; and brother, Bruce Shaver. He is survived by his beloved niece, Leasa Holton, who cared for him for several years; sister, Sandy Herrinton; and brother, Hiram "Butch" (Betty) Shaver; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins. There will be a private celebration of life. Details to be shared at a later date. Eugene will be laid to rest at Garfield Park Cemetery with his mother and father. On behalf of the family, we want to thank Willow Creek (Care Cardinal) for their great care of Eugene, Faith Hospice and Care Resources (PACE).
