A donation to the Humane Society has been made in honor of our dear friend and her love of dogs. May she playing in a field of puppies all day long.

It is lovely to see all of these beautiful memories of our friend Vicki. She and I knew each other for 45 years. She lost her Mom and one year later, I lost my Dad. She was at every family gathering, watched my daughters grow up and even saw my oldest daughter Lindsey's first steps before I did. She was Miss Vicki, Aunt Vicki, Friend Vicki. As others have mentioned, Vicki's unique laugh was heart-warming. And her generosity and empathy were ever-present. There is a hole in my heart that I hope her memories will fill.
Cruise on friend. And remember it is always Ethel's birthday, wherever you travel!

I will always remember your infectious laugh, the fun times we had playing Barbie on Sunday afternoons, getting in trouble in church, and so many adventures growing up! You brightened up a room just by being there!

Anyone who knew my friend has had nothing but good and wonderful things to say about her. From 1st grade and even now we have been best of friends sharing silly moments, adventurous outings, laughing and good for the heart times. I've said it before and I'll continue to say it, I don't know what it would have been like to grow up without my best friend. She made it fun and meaningful. Thank you for your Neverending friendship and love. I will remember you for always and ever with a smile on my face and love in my heart.

My friend Vicki Gavette
You, my friend, are everything a person could ever ask for in a friend. The many long conversations we had over these past few years (sometimes hours at a time) were the most friendliest and peaceful. You will live on in all your family and friends who love you and cherish you. You lived your life being an example of true beauty to all of us that were fortunate to have met you. I will miss you so very very much. I look forward to seeing you again in the house of the lord where I’m sure you will be there waiting to share your newest stories in that very special and innocent way that only you can………

I met Vicki many years ago when she was the travel agent for a company I worked for. I am so happy/lucky that we became friends. We mainly communicated via e-mail, but also visited in person whenever she was here in Minneapolis for business. I loved all her Bailey & travel stories. And hearing about her family. I am going to miss her so much. My sincere sympathy to all of her family.

What can I say about my friend, Vicki - other than she was always a bright spot, always there to encourage me, commiserate with me, and most of all laugh with me. I learned from her, and grew with her. She will be missed - but we must take comfort that she is home, and I’m sure is hosting parties and cheering on U of M with her Dad ❤️

Thank you, Vicki, for the difference you made in my life❤️
