Jack Kenneth Hurd, age 84, of Jenison, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 5, 2021, surrounded by family and friends. Jack was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and a great friend. He would help anyone who needed it. He was a sharpshooter in the National Guards during the Vietnam War and retired from Chrysler after 25 years working in Troy, Michigan. He loved to travel, was an avid hunter, loved boating, enjoyed fishing, and really enjoyed racing jeeps while living in California. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 40 years, Betty Hurd; and their daughter, Rhonda Johnston. Jack will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 24 years, Jeri; children, Doug Hurd (Patty), Roger (Jessi) Hurd, Tami (Roland) Garza, Jim (Farrah) Robinson; Angie (Shane) Brandt; grandchildren, Brandon Webster, Amanda Hurd, Jason Hurd, Eric Cencich, Ashley Terbeek (Ross), Jazmine Garza, Shay Brandt, Dana Prylo, Chuck Woodman, Jay Brandt, Makenzie Garza; many great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Hurd; in-laws, Bob Sullivan (Sharon) Lester (Merle) Sullivan, Ed Sullivan, Darlene (Bob) Kline; many nieces and nephews. The family will greet visitors on Wednesday, November 10, from 4 - 8 pm at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE. The funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, November 11, at Resurrection Life Church Chapel, 5100 Ivanrest Ave. SW, Grandville, (enter using Door K), with Pastor Dean Wheeler officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, McFall, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Jack will be sadly missed by his wife Jeri and sons, Togervand and Doug.; Also by so many extended family members. He fought a good fight and now is holding the hand of our Jesus in victory!! Our love goes out to Jeri and all the other wonderful family!
