Edwin Allen Sytsma, age 80, of Grand Rapids, MI, went to meet his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, early Monday morning, November 15, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Janet Sytsma.  Ed dearly loved his family and cherished the time with his grandkids during family gatherings and sporting events.  He was truly blessed to have lifelong friends and always enjoyed a good conversation.  Ed will be dearly missed by the lives he touched, but we celebrate his entry into the next life as he is experiencing God's glory.  Ed is survived by his wife, Karen Sytsma; children, April (Steve) McCrumb, Ryan (Laura) Sytsma; sisters, Sandra (Robert) Horn, Naomi (Carl) Nelson, Tami (Patrick) Louiselle; grandkids, Marlo McCrumb, Caleb, Arie, and Clive Sytsma.  "Well done good and faithful servant" Matthew 25:23.  Visitation for Edwin will be at Stroo Funeral Home on Friday, November 19, from 6 to 8 PM.  The service will be held at First Cutlerville Christian Reformed Church, 1425 68th St. SW, Byron Center, 49315, on Saturday, November 20, at 11 AM, with Pastor Ken VanWyk officiating.  Interment will be in Winchester Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels.
