Rev. Richard Joseph Miller, age 62, was called to his eternal heavenly home on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. He was born on March 3, 1959 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, to the late Thomas Charles Miller and Marie Josephine Marone. Rick married Maria Jean Korodan in Memphis, MI on August 13, 1983, and they were blessed with 38 years of marriage. A faithful servant of the Lord, Rev. Miller pastored the Cutlerville Independent Reformed Church, Cutlerville, MI; the Dutton United Reformed Church, Dutton, MI; the Bellingham United Reformed Church, Bellingham, WA; and was currently serving the Covenant Reformed Church, Carbondale, PA. Rick was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and will be dearly missed by his wife, Maria; his daughter and son-in-law, Marie Jean and Jordan Thomas Sweezer; his son, Thomas Charles Miller; his grandchildren, Jordan Thomas Sweezer, Jr., Caleb Joseph Sweezer, and Charles Richard Sweezer; his brother and sister-in-law, Thomas Charles and Kimberly Miller; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, George and Rosemary Korodan, Theodore and Lori Korodan, Mark and Patty Korodan, Theresa and Steve Strother, and Katherine Korodan; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his infant granddaughter, Katherine Grace Sweezer, his brother, Christopher Miller; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Helen Korodan. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Casey Freswick, will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, November 24, at Dutton United Reformed Church, 6950 Hanna Lake Ave. SE. (Live-streaming of the service will be available at www.duttonurc.org). A committal service. officiated by Mark A. Korodan, will follow in Dutton Cemetery. The family will greet visitors prior to the service from 10 - 11 AM, and following the committal during a luncheon at the church.
