Alma Jane (Verduin) Post, age 100, of Dutton, MI and Englewood, Fl. went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 24, 2022. She lived a long and happy life spending time with her loving family and many friends. Alma was born on May 21, 1921, to Peter and Jane Verduin in Todd County, South Dakota. Alma was preceded in death by her husband, John Junior Post, son-in-law James VanSolkema, and great-grandson Zachary Bolt. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children:  Donna (Ron) Veltman, Sandy (Harley) Bolt, Kathy Post, Vi (Terry) VanSolkema-Rudd; grandchildren:  Jay (Amber) Veltman, Robin (Dave) Kotarak, Lisa (Phil) VanKampen, Brent (Nicole) Bolt, Andy Kopenski, Katie (Dave) DeVries, and Mandy (Greg) Helder.  Great-grandchildren:  Zoey, Zeb and Avery Veltman, Kennedy and Kaia Zimmerman, Arrow and Brady Kotarak, Hannah, Sam and Abby VanKampen, Devon, Ashlyn and Austin Bolt, Brycen Potter-Kopenski, Logan and Collin DeVries, Lydia, Westyn and August Helder. Alma enjoyed traveling, especially their Alaska cruise and several trips to Nashville and Louisville to attend Southern Gospel Concerts. Spending the winters in Englewood was something Alma looked forward to - she loved the sun and the beach. Many memories were also made playing cards with her children, grandchildren and even her great-grandchildren. Alma dedicated her life to raising her family in a loving and Christian home, and she always put others first. She was kind, compassionate, upbeat and never complained about anything. Everyone would say, “Alma always has a smile on her face".  A celebration of Alma's life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Stroo Funeral Home, with an hour visitation prior to the service from 10 - 11 am. Rev. Merle Buwalda will officiate. Interment will be in Dutton Cemetery.

My deepest sympathies. She was
very upbeat and fun. I remember
the whole family visiting us at
Put-in-Bay. That was always
a good time. Daddy especially
loved Aunt Alma a lot. I am
proud that she made it to 100.
She deserved all the good things
she got out of life. She lived her
life well. Affectionately, her niece
Jan.
