Ronald L. Foote, aged 81, of Byron Center, MI, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, March 4, 2022. Ron was a proud U.S. Army veteran.  He was a volunteer firefighter with the Cutlerville Fire Department for 18 years.  Ron loved fishing and going on fishing trips with his buddies. He was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. His parents, Charles and Graciel Foote; sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn (Thomas) Wielinga; brother, Orlan "Jim" Foote; and aunt, Beth Parsons; preceded him in death. Ron will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Phyllis; daughter, Rhonda Diekevers; son Steven (Susan) Foote; grandchildren, Kailey (Adam) Kemling, Tessa (Brian) Haff; great grandson, Jayden Diekevers; sisters-in-law, Judy Foote, Arlene Harper; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, March 12, 2022, from 11AM to 12 PM at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th Street, SE, where a celebration of Ron's life service will begin at 12:00 noon.  Pastor Patrick Mc Laughlin will officiate.  A special thank you to the Kindred Hospice care nurses and special shout out to Brian aka “Noize” for the wonderful care they provided to Grandpa over the last week.  Contributions in memory of Ron may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital Brian Bush Memorial Putt Putt for Life Tournament.
