Carolynn Lee Ruehs, age 80, of Dutton, MI, passed away and into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, April 30, 2022. Carolynn valiantly fought lymphoma for 7 years. She was preceded in death by her parents Tom and Marian Forward; step-mother, Nelvina Forward; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Norman and Darlene Ruehs. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Fred; 3 daughters, Traci (Chad) Kious, Terri Sue (Scott) Nibbelink, and Tina (Derek) Schultz; grandchildren, Carly and Mitchell Kious, Celia, Elaina and Ryan Nibbelink, Taylor (Grant) Jelsema, and Sam Schultz; brother, Robert (Faye) Forward; sister, Patty Neese; sister-in-law, Mary (Tony) Molis. Carolynn attended Alaska Baptist Church for nearly 70 years, where she met Jesus and loved her church friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 27, from 5 - 7 PM, at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 - 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508, as well as the hour prior to the Celebration of Life service that will be held on Saturday, May 28, at 11 AM, at Alaska Baptist Church, 7240 68th St. SE, Caledonia, MI 49316. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alaska Baptist Church Mission Fund. |
