Wilma T. Rus, born December 15, 1923, age 98 1/2, went to heaven on Sunday, July 17, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Rus; son, Keith Rus; son-in-law, Bob Osenga; sister, Margaret Van Zante; and brother, Henry De Cook. She is survived by her daughters, Lucy Osenga and Bev Weber; her son, Daryl Rus; as well as her grandchildren, Matthew (Kristen) Osenga, Meredith (Kevin) Trumbull, Michael (Tammy) Weber, Mark (Amber) Weber, Ryan (Liz) Weber, Megan (Josh) Middlekauff; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, Arthur De Cook, Donald (Pauline) De Cook, Robert (Sandra) De Cook; and sister-in-law, Pauline De Cook. Wilma was an avid walker, having walked outside for many years and at Rivertown Mall until she was 95. She was a bus driver for many years until she retired at age 62. Her hobby after she retired was counted cross stitch. All her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren received a special cross stitch picture from her.  Wilma enjoyed sharing her love for her Lord and made sure everyone knew of her eagerness to go to heaven. The family will greet visitors on Thursday, July 21, from 1 - 2 pm at Stroo Funeral Home, followed by the funeral service at 2 pm with Rev. John Witvliet officiating. The service will be live-streamed at Stroo Funeral Home, Inc. Facebook. Interment will be in Blain Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to The Bible League International will be appreciated.
