Shirley P. Hayward, age 90, of Kentwood, MI, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 6, 2022.  Shirley was an active member of the Kentwood Senior Center.  She loved scrapbooking and gardening and was a member of the Iris Society.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Harlem I. Hayward, and Alter M. (Payner) Hayward; and her former husband, Michael Watycha.  Shirley is lovingly remembered by her life partner of 43 years, Rev. Linda J. Stoner; children, Theresa and Kurry Coker of Tennessee, John and Janet Watycha of Michigan, Randy and Grace Watycha of Michigan; 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Hayward of Kentucky; many nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held at Stroo Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 9, from 6 - 8 PM.  The funeral service will be on Wednesday, August 10, at 10 AM at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508.  Rev. Ricardo Tavarez will officiate.  A service, followed by burial, will take place at 2:30 PM, Wednesday, August 10, in the chapel at White Chapel Memorial Park, 621 W.
