Gerard I. Boot, best known as "Boot", of Alto, MI, passed from this life on Friday, August 19, 2022, at the age of 86. Boot was preceded in death by his son, Ed Boot; his brother, Bill Boot; and his parents, Gerard and Connie (Kwekel) Boot. He is survived by his daughter, Susan Boot; his brothers and sister, Rob (Arla) Boot, Jim Boot, Tom (Linda) Boot, Elaine (Kurt) Stevens; his sister-in-law, Lori (Fred) Edgington; many nieces and nephews; his uncle, Gary Kwekel; his aunt, Emy Kamp; and many friends. A private family committal service was held at Dutton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The Gideons or Wycliffe Bible Translators.
