On Wednesday, September 7, 2022, Lester E. Albright, age 81, of Kentwood, was called home to be with his Lord and to join his wife, Patricia (Roman), and his parents, Owen L. and Mildred Albright. He was also preceded in death by his beloved furry four-legged friends. Les will be lovingly remembered by his children, Barbara (William) Hillson, Tony Albright, and Cynthia (Timothy) Offringa; 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; his brother-in-law, James (Charlene) Roman; many nieces and nephews; and by many good friends. Les was a Grandville High School graduate and a Davenport College Alumni. He worked as an accountant, first in the automotive industry and later in the heating and cooling industry, retiring from Ace Heating and Cooling. He was an active charter member of the Kentwood Jaycees, and also involved with the Songs for Happiness. Les and Pat loved spending time with family and friends at their cottage in Pentwater, MI.  Les also enjoyed boating, fishing, loved his Sunday breakfasts, and his many family outings. Les was a book of knowledge and will be remembered for his vast library of anything and everything that one needed to know. His quirky jokes, his love of pranks, and his contagious laugh were well known to all who knew him. A Memorial Mass will be offered for Lester at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 21, at Saint Mary Magdalen Catholic Church (1253 52nd St. SE, Kentwood, MI 49508). Visitation will be held at the church prior to the service from 10:00 - 10:45 am. Entombment of ashes will be at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Allies for Greyhounds of West Michigan, Inc., Humane Society of West Michigan, or the American Cancer Society. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Grand Village Assisted Living and to Corso Care Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.
