Douglas B. Hicks Sr., age 65, of Holland, MI, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022.  Douglas will be remembered most for his fantastic sense of humor and quick wit.  He was an avid storyteller.  He cherished spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed trips to northern Michigan. He loved classic cars, and automotive racing.  His hobbies included fine guitars and a plethora of musical genres.  Douglas will be missed by many and leaves behind a loving family who cherished and adored him.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Beverly Hicks; his brother, Daniel Hicks.  Lovingly remembering Douglas is his wife of 23 years, Deborah; children, Douglas (Amanda) Hicks, Jennifer Hicks and Jeff Johnson, Andrew Baglaj, Mickey Baglaj; three grandchildren, Remington Baglaj, Grady Hicks, Arlo Hicks; brother, David (Annette) Hicks; sister, Susan (Richard) Alameddine.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 1, from 1 – 4 PM, at The Bungalow Inn, 1100 28^th St., Manistee, MI, 49660.  ​Memorial contributions in memory of Douglas may be made to Autism Society of West Michigan.​
