On Sunday, September 25, 2022, Edward Leon Meyers, Jr., age 87, of Kentwood, went to be with his Lord and Savior and was reunited with the love of his life, his wife, Ann, who precedes him in death. Also preceding him is his sister, Sharon Bullock; brother, David Meyers; and brother-in-law, John Burleson. Edward proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a big sports enthusiast. But his pride and joy were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he dearly loved. He will be deeply missed by his children, Jane (Dave) Munn, Jeff (Kelly) Meyers, Alan (Deb) Meyers; grandchildren, Nate (Kallie) Munn,Rachael (Francisco) Barrios, Josh (Liz) Meyers, Amanda (Andrew) Bosman, Michelle (Shane) Holly, Ashley (Tyler) Hermatz, Becca (Coty) Ryder, Noah Meyers, Leah (Aaron) Carrington; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Burleson, Lynn (Rob) Reitman; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Les Bullock, Shirley Meyers, Arlene VanderWerf, Shirley (Joe) Dunder; and many nieces and nephews.  The family will greet visitors on Thursday, September 29, from noon - 1 pm at Cornerstone Church, 2730 56 St. SW, Wyoming, where the memorial service will begin at 1 pm. Pastor Marcus Schmidt will officiate. Interment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Tunnel to Towers.
