Stephen Min Van Beek (Kim Sung-Yeon) age 36, of Grand Rapids, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 25, 2022. Steve will be lovingly remembered by his fiancee, Alysia Chavez; his daughter, Nari Ray Kim-Chavez; parents, Paul and Crystal Van Beek; sister and brother, Kathryn (Joel) Verhoef, Jacob (Jessica) Van Beek; five nieces and nephews; grandmother, Ruth Van Grouw-Bandstra; and his family in Korea. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 1, from 10 am - 1 pm at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE. A memorial service will follow at 2 pm Saturday at Fuller Avenue Christian Reformed Church, 1239 Fuller Avenue SE, Grand Rapids, MI.
