Lucy (DeLeeuw) Dykstra, age 104, of Holland, MI, was greeted and welcomed by her heavenly Father at 1:04 am on Tuesday, October 4, 2022. Lucy can now rest in Jesus' arms and sing in the Heavenly choir. Her whole life was reflecting her heavenly Father and His love for all. She was always ready "to give the reason for the hope” that she had. Lucy was gifted with a great memory and was always thinking of others. She was welcomed to her new residence by her husband, Ted; sons, Fred and Ted Jr.; son-in-law, Ken Estelle; brothers, Clarence and Gilbert DeLeeuw; and sisters, Minnie Stolk and Ruby Hoeksema. Lucy will be lovingly remembered by her children, Donna Estelle, Ann and Ken Thomas, and John and Bev Dykstra; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Lucy's family would like to express much gratitude to Ronni, Kate, and Johnathon from Kindred Hospice, and the special staff at Medilodge of Holland for their wonderful care. Friends may visit the family on Friday, October 7, at Stroo Funeral Home (1095 68th St. SE), from 1 - 2 pm followed by a celebration of life at 2 pm, with Rev. Bernie Mulder and Rev. Ron Schuster officiating. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Right to Life or Kindred Hospice. |
