Michael K. Friday, age 62, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022. Mike was born on July 28, 1960, in Muskegon, MI, where he graduated from Muskegon Catholic High School. He was passionate about gardening and earned his Master Gardener degree. A very giving man, he gave his life to helping his church and provided fruits and vegetables from his garden for the Children's Food Basket. He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching the Lions, Notre Dame, and the Red Wings. Above all, Mike was a loving and welcoming father. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Donna Friday; brother, Richard Friday; sister, Cheryl Sladick; sister-in-law, Barb Friday; and two nephews, Michael Bray and Brandon Heykoop.  Mike will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Briana (Jordan) Nelson; brothers and sister, Ron (Sandra Volkers) Friday, Larry (Rita) Friday, Tom (Pat) Friday, Pat (Michael) Bray; brother-in-law, Terry Sladick; sister-in-law, Nancy Friday; many nieces and nephews.  A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 18, at 11 AM at Fellowship Reformed Church, 4200 Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442, with Pastor Mike Van Kampen, officiating. A luncheon will follow at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
