Ross D. Hesselink, age 63, was released from his body to stand with the Lord on Friday, October 14, 2022. Ross was preceded in death by his son, Keith, and his brother-in-law, Dave Bergman. He will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 40 years, Arla; his children, Mallory (Chris) Richardson, Kyle (Sarah) Hesselink, Mitchell Hesselink, and Kenzi Hesselink; his grandchildren, Shiloh, Ezekiel, and Nora Richardson; his brothers and sister, Ron (Joanne) Hesselink, Sandy Bergman, Rick (Theresa) Hesselink; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ardy (Leighton) Chapman, Adele (Craig) Shannon, Ed (Deb) Wierenga, Rick (Vi) Wierenga; many nieces and nephews. Ross enjoyed physical activities with his family, including golfing, fishing, and bowling. His family extends special thanks to his physician at Care Resources, Dr. Chiavaras, and his faithful, attentive, and caring aide of the last few years, Barb. Ross found much comfort in Isaiah 41:10: "Do not fear for I am with you. Do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." Visitation will be held on Monday, October 17, from 5 - 8 PM at Stroo Funeral Home, and on Tuesday, October 18, from 12 - 12:45 PM at Trinity United Reformed Church, where the funeral service will follow at 1 PM Tuesday, with Mr. Jacob London officiating.
