Harry Faber, age 85, of Cutlerville, MI, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, October 20, 2022.  Harry was born on July 8, 1937, in Franeker the Netherlands and immigrated to the United States in 1947.  He became a citizen in 1957.  Harry and Eloise were married in 1959.  Harry owned an auto repair facility in Minnesota before moving to Nigeria in the 1970’s with their family to be missionaries for 8 years.  After retiring from Nigeria, Harry worked for several years as a mechanic before becoming a chaplain at the Montana State Prison.  Later in life, they volunteered at Disaster Response Services for many years.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Eloise.  Harry will be lovingly remembered by his children, Terrance (Marcia) Faber, Randall (Karen) Faber, Craig Faber, Joy (Steve) Marsman; 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.  The family will greet relatives and friends, prior to the service at Stroo Funeral Home, on Sunday, October 23, from 1:30 - 3 PM.  The funeral service will begin at 3:00 PM at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508, on Sunday, October 23.  Rev. Evan Heerema will officiate.  Interment will be in Blain cemetery.  In honor of Harry, memorial contributions may be made to DRS.
