John W. Kibler, age 89, of Kentwood, MI, and Elkhart, IN, entered into the peace and rest of Jesus' arms on Wednesday, November 2, 2022. John was a 1957 ISU graduate and was President of the West MI area ISU alumni. He was in Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity; Defense Logistics Agency for 31 yrs. 1963 to his retirement in June of 1994, was Chief Financial Services Branch. John was on the Board of Directors/Secretary for the Grand Rapids Federal Employee Credit Union and Treasurer/Vice President of NARFE, and High Pi (Alumni Advisor) for Lambda Chi Alpha.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret M. Kibler; and brother-in-law, Jim Wittig.  Lovingly remembering John is his wife of 15 years, Evelyn; his daughter, Karen Kibler and Arthur Burrows; grandchildren, Izabella (Jon) Van Ryan, Manaya Huhtala; great-granddaughter, Lunae S. Huhtala; Evelyn's three children, Philip, Becky, and Eric Wiskotoni; his sister, Shirley Wittig; several nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held at Stroo Funeral Home on Sunday, November 6, from 2 to 6 PM.  The service will be held on Monday, November 7, at 11 AM at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 1253 52^nd St. SE, Kentwood, 49508, with Fr. Peter Vu as celebrant.  Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend, IN.
