Larry I. DeVries​, age 80, as of Friday, November 11, 2022 is now in the presence of Jesus and his heavenly Father with the Holy Spirit. He knew “God had his days numbered before he was formed in his mother's womb” Psalm 139:16. Larry was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Teresa DeVries; granddaughter, Tabitha DeVries; brother, Keith DeVries; sister, Karen Klawiter; and sister-in-law, Judy Williams. Larry was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Joan; sons, Todd (Deb) DeVries, Jeff DeVries, Greg (Melanie) DeVries, Dan DeVries; grandchildren, Dillon DeVries, Katie (Kyle) Ackerman, Jaret (Anaka) DeVries, Sara DeVries, Nic DeVries, Brittany (Brent) Cummings, Elisa (Eli) Olson, Stephanie (Josh) Russell, Emily (Manny Lopez) DeVries, Allan (Mary) DeVries, Hannah DeVries, Abigail DeVries; fourteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Cheryl (Bob Valdez) Pendergrass, Sandra (Dean) Rose, Debra DeVries; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Walter (Marsi) Klawiter, Betty (Jerry) VanderKodde, Bonnie (John) Stene, Joe (Jane) DeKraker; Bart (Kathy) DeKraker; Greg Williams; and many nieces and nephews. The family will greet visitors on Monday, Nov. 14, from 4-7 PM and Tuesday, Nov. 15, from 10-10:45 AM at Bethany United Reformed Church, 5401 Byron Center Ave., SW, Wyoming, MI. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Bethany United Reformed Church. Interment will be in Dorr Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Larry may be made to Zion Christian School or Bethany URC Building Fund. The family wishes to thank the caring staff of Spectrum Health Hospice for the wonderful care they provided for Larry.
