Jacobi T. Mann “Kobe”, age 24, of Cutlerville, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 25th, 2022. He was born September 10, 1998, in Grand Rapids, MI to Melinda Mann-Johnson and accepted as his own by Travis Johnson. He lost his battle to mental illness leaving in his wake both his mother and father along with his siblings: Brandon, Thomas, and AJ; nephew Elliot; grandparents, Rick and Renee Mann; aunts, Dashia Mann- Ellsworth (Joe), Melanie Mann (Jack Bush) and plenty of other family and friends. Those who knew him knew he had an affectionate smile, a contagious laugh, and could light up any room. He had a love for his best friend Sasha- the best dog a guy could have, video games that took up all hours of his night, family that he absolutely loved, and basketball that drove him to winning the State Champs in Special Olympics as “Big Mann” during playoffs hosted at Byron Center High School. He made a big impression in many lives and will always be remembered by his family and friends, as family. All are invited to say their goodbyes at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE Grand Rapids, MI, where visitation will be held on Monday, December 5th from 5pm-8pm, and on Tuesday, December 6th, from 12pm-1pm. The funeral ceremony will begin at 1pm Tuesday. We come to remember, grieve, support one another and celebrate the life of Jacobi Mann. For those who are willing to help with expenses, the GOFUNDME is attached below. Proceeds will also be donated to Paws with a Cause or the Humane Society of West Michigan.
