Randall Jon Doezema, age 70, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, December 1, 2022, after 40 years of battling Multiple Sclerosis (M.S.). Randy grew up in East Paris and East Kentwood.  During his younger years he enjoyed pheasant hunting at his grandparent’s farm, hunting deer at Trout Lake in the U.P., and of course, creating chaos with his adventurous friends.  Randy was a dedicated employee of Amway for 26 years, where he was a hi-lo driver and mail machine operator.  He was a loving husband and father, an avid hunter, NASCAR fan, and enjoyed bantering with friends, family, and medical staff. Randy had the patience of Job and met every health challenge with grit, perseverance, and grace.  Randy was preceded in death by his mother, Mayme Rykse Doezema, his father, Jacob Doezema, his father-in-law, Richard P. Bennett, his brother, James Doezema, sister-in-law, Kathleen Sweedyk, and brother-in-law, George LaVoie II.  Randy is lovingly remembered by his wife of nearly 46 years, Terri Bennett Doezema; daughter Audrey (Chris) Young; son, Austin (Chelsea) Doezema; mother-in-law, Janet Bennett, sisters-in-law, Betsy Bennett LaVoie; Cynthia (James) Manikowski; brother-in-law, Richard (Sandra) Bennett; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  The Memorial service will be held at 3 P.M. on January 15, 2023, at Robinette’s Apple Haus & Winery, located at 3142 4 Mile Rd N.E., Grand Rapids, MI 49525.
