Alvis Nancy Lucas, age 86, of Caledonia, MI, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 6, 2022.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Fred; parents, Peter and Jennie Zuidema; brother, Phil (Beth) Zuidema; son-in-law, Mark Smith; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, George Lucas, Jane (Harold) Quist, Henrietta Westmaas, Joan (Maurice) Hamming.  Alvis is lovingly remembered by her children, Jan (Ken)Taylor, Susan Lucas, Linda Smith, Bonnie (Dan) Beals, Allan (Kathy) Lucas; grandchildren Chad (Lori) Taylor, Kelly Richardson, Heather (Mike) Adrianse, K.J. (Danielle) Taylor, Matthew (Missy) Smith, Jason (Claudia) Smith, Donna (Tim) Wamhoff, Danny (Ashely) Beals, Jenifer (Rusty) Craft, Stacey (Peter) Rotundo, Denise Beals, Wayne Beals, Lynae (Ty) Gernaat, Dylan (Elise) Lucas, 32 great-grandchildren; sister, Myra Holliday; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Freda (Bruce) Eisenga, Ken Westmaas; many nieces and nephews.  The family will greet relatives and friends on Sunday, December 11, from 2 - 5 PM at Stroo Funeral Home, also prior to the service at the church on Monday, December 12, from 10 - 10:45 AM.  The funeral service will be held at Dutton United Reformed Church, 6950 Hanna Lake Ave SE, Caledonia, 49316, on Monday, December 12, at 11 AM with Rev. Talman Wagenmaker officiating.  The service will be live-streamed and can be viewed by following this link, www.duttonurc.org.  Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  Memorial contributions may be made to Dutton United Reformed Church.
