Gloria Elaine VanPutten, age 80, of Grand Rapids, MI went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 14, 2022.  Gloria was born in Grand Rapids, MI on January 8, 1942.  She married Dave VanPutten on June 24, 1961, and was a bus driver for Kelloggsville Christian School for 27 years.  She loved camping with her family.  Gloria started the annual chair contest among her siblings and brought lots of love and laughter to the family.  She was a member of Kelloggsville Christian Reformed Church for 61 years, where she was involved in various activities.  Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd G. Harper and Henrietta Harper; and sister, Margie McKenny.  She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her husband, David VanPutten; children, David (Carol) VanPutten Jr., Linda (Terry) Miedema, Karen Tully, Scott (Sharon) VanPutten; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Loretta Powers, and Janice Bilohlavek; brother, Loren Harper; brother-in-law, Randall McKenny; sister-in-law, Betty (Jack) Blackport; many nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.   Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 18, from 2 - 5 PM at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, 49508.  A private family committal service will take place at Blain Cemetery.  A memorial service will be held at Kelloggsville Christian Reformed Church, 610 52nd St. SE, Kentwood, MI 49548, on Monday, December 19, at 11 AM, with a visitation prior to the service from 10 - 10:45 AM.  Pastor Martin Benckhuysen will officiate.  The service will be live-streamed and can be viewed by following this link, https://kelloggsvillechurch.org/.   Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
