Robert J. Hoolsema, age 94, of Kentwood, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, January 9, 2023. He was born in Grand Rapids on December 10, 1928. In 1955 he married Evelyn Kuiper, with whom he had four sons, Timothy, Robert, William and Daniel. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn; and his son, Timothy. He is survived by his sons, Robert, William, and Daniel; his sister-in-law, Janet Kilgore; brother-in-law, Edward Kuiper; and many nephews and nieces. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, January 13, from 10 - 11 am at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508, followed by the funeral service at 11 am. Rev. Talman Wagenmaker will officiate. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Divine Hope Reformed Bible Seminary in Indiana.
