Anna Mae Cook, age 93, of Kentwood, MI, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 14, 2023.  Anna Mae loved her family deeply and enjoyed spending time with them. An avid sports fan, Anna Mae could often be found attending her family member's school sporting events or rooting for her beloved Detroit Tigers. In 1974 Ted and Anna Mae began operating what was then known as Kum-A-Gen Restaurant in Cutlerville. Anna Mae remained a friend to many and a loyal employee of the restaurant through many different owners and name changes, "retiring" at the age of 93 when Sandi's Restaurant closed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emory "Ted" Cook; son, Keith Cook; grandson, Clayton Daniels.  Lovingly remembering Anna Mae are her children, Patty Alderink, Kathy Burton and friend, Steve Wolbrink, Ben and Ruth Cook; daughter-in-law, Marguerite (Dave) Herrema; 9 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; brothers and sister, Henry (Dorothy) Schierbeek, Ted Schierbeek, Nelvah (Don) Agema; sister-in-law, Linda (Ron) Kraft; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Sharon Ladow, and Arlyn Jansen.  The family will greet relatives and friends on Sunday, February 19, from 2 to 5 PM at Stroo Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 20, at 6:00 PM at First Cutlerville Christian Reformed Church, 1425 68th St. SW, Byron Center, 49315.  Rev. Ken VanWyk will officiate.  The service will be live-streamed on the church's YouTube channel.  Interment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to South Christian High School.
