Shirley L. (Harrington) Yeakey, age 90, of Cutlerville, MI, went to be in the loving arms of Jesus on Thursday, March 9, 2023.  Shirley was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She enjoyed worshiping her Lord and Savior with her church family at Grand Rapids Baptist Church.  Shirley attended the Little Red School House and graduated from Godwin High School.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Orson; son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Pam Yeakey; grandsons, Tad Yeakey, Jeffy Blake; parents, William and Maude Harrington; all of her 12 brothers and sisters.  Lovingly remembering Shirley are her children, Patrick (Therese) Yeakey, Wanda (Dave) Hall, Randy (Jody) Yeakey, Mark (Cheryl) Yeakey; 18 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; special friends, Vince and Denice Alighire and family, Johanna Bancroft and family; numerous nieces and nephews.  The family wishes to thank the staff of Faith Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to Shirley.  The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, March 17, from 6 to 8 PM at Stroo Funeral Home.  Also, one hour prior to the service, on Saturday, March 18, from 12 to 1 PM.  The funeral service will be at 1 PM, on Saturday, March 18, at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, 49508.  Rev. Cody Kuehl of Grand Rapids Baptist Church will officiate.  Interment will be in Blain Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
