John Schnittker, Jr. age 84, of Caledonia, MI, was called to his heavenly home on Thursday, March 9, 2023. John was born on February 18, 1939, to John Schnittker Sr, and Mildred (Beardsley) Schnittker. After school he joined the Air Force, where he was a mechanic on the F-101 Voodoo. He was employed at Steelcase from 1964 until he retired as a model maker.  John married Judy (Colborn) in 1960. He enjoyed bowling leagues, many years of golf, loved to travel, and tinker in his garage. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Lois Webb. John and Judy have four children whom he loved; Gerri Nyland, Diana (Steve) Hulst, John (Penny) Schnittker III, David Schnittker; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sister, Toni; and brother, Paul. The family wishes to thank Belmont Care Cardinal for their wonderful care given to John. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 21, from 6 - 8 pm at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE.
