On April 13th, 2023, Richard Peter Zylstra, age 75 of Kentwood, Michigan left this earth for his heavenly home, while lovingly surrounded by his family.  He will be most dearly missed and remembered by his wife of 53 years, Lynn; daughters: Andrea and Beckie (Mark); grandchildren: Kailee, Vanessa, Elaina, Analeigh, Simon and Ellie; brother: Andrew (Nancy) Zylstra, and sister, Esther (Rick) Morse, as well as numerous additional relatives and friends.  He prioritized his family, and his faith in our Lord, Jesus Christ. He remained proud of his chosen profession as a direct hardware sales rep- representing many companies over his 50 plus years in the industry.  He had the most incredible retention for jokes and could tell them for hours.  Jokes were his love language, how he communicated and core to who he was. The family will greet visitors on Tuesday, April 18th, from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held 11 am on Wednesday, April 19th at Stroo Funeral Home: 1095 68th St SE, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49508. Memorial donations may be made to the Right to Life Organization or to the Helen DeVos Children's Hospital.
