Barbara Jean Gibson, age 87, of Lake Leelanau, MI, was called to her heavenly home on Friday, May 12, 2023. Barbara was a nurse at Leelanau Memorial Hospital in Northport, MI, for 38 years. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Steven Sudol; her parents, William and Anna Couturier; seven brothers and four sisters.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Diane (Steve) Westover, David (Terri) Gibson, Gary (Brenda) Gibson, Donald (Jessie) Gibson; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, May 20, from 10 am - 12 noon at Stroo Funeral Home, (1095 68th St. SE) where a memorial service will begin at 12 noon. Interment will be in Winchester Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
