Larry Swainston, age 69, of Grand Rapids, MI, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, May 27, 2023. Larry retired from Bradford White after many years of service.  He enjoyed hunting, running, boating, camping, and being a part of the Christian church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Johanna Swainston. Lovingly remembering Larry are his children, Laura and Jeff Sneller, Sandra and Bill Harms; grandchildren, David and Hanna Sneller, Heidi and Jacob Hanson, John Sneller, Emily Sneller, Peter Sneller, Benjamin Sneller, Katie Sneller, Juleah Harms, William Harms, Richard Harms; brother, David and Jan Swainston; and his nieces and nephews. The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, May 31, from 6 to 8 PM at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508. The funeral service, officiated by Pastor Tom Datema, will be held at Gaines Church, 1612 92nd St. SE, Caledonia, MI 49316 on Thursday, June 1, at 11 AM, with a visitation prior to the service from 10 to 10:45 AM. Interment will be in Blain Cemetery.
