Robert Gill Lipscomb Sr., age 83, of Caledonia, MI, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 19, 2023.  After attending Caledonia High School, he proudly served in the Marine Corps for 8 years, where he did two tours in Vietnam.  Gill worked for Steelcase for 32 + years and was a member of the Dutton Fire Department for many years.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Chuck and Jean Lipscomb.  Gill will be lovingly remembered by his children, Robert Gill Lipscomb Jr., Pamela (Dan) Silvernail, Sara (Curt) Barnaby; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Gayle Durkee, Bonnie Graham; brother, Jerry (Nancy) Lipscomb; nieces and nephews.  The family will greet relatives and friends at Stroo Funeral Home on Monday, July 24, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and prior to the service on Tuesday, July 25, from 10 to 11 AM.  The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 25, at 11 AM at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, 49508.  Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  Memorial contributions in honor of Gill may be made to Disabled American Veterans or Legacies Assisted Living.
