Mary Ann (Kleinjans) Visser, age 83, of Grand Rapids, MI, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She worked as a secretary both in schools and in the Michigan State Capitol. After retiring, she and her husband, Fred, enjoyed serving with World Renew for 20 years. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Sarah Timmer, and her siblings: Elmer Kleinjans, Angie Rillema, Geraldine Schans, Ruth Meyer, Don Kleinjans, and Virginia Kleinjans.

Mary will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 64 years, Fred; children, Ed (Lorinda) Visser, Marti (Bob) Timmer, Don Visser, Dan (Barb) Visser; grandchildren, James (Amy) Timmer, Joanna (Jonathan) den Haan, Christina (Brandon) Cooper, Marisa Visser, Alexis Visser, Bella Visser and Jordan Visser; great-grandchildren Sean, Natalie, Landon, Emma, and Ian Cooper; and Zoey Timmer; sister, Beatrice (Morrie) DeVries; sisters-in-law, Geneva Kleinjans, Aliceann Steen, Joanne Visser; brother-in-law, Duane Visser; and many nieces and nephews. 

The family will greet visitors on Thursday, August 24, from 6 - 8 PM at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, and from 10 - 10:45 AM prior to the service at church on Friday, August 25, followed by a memorial service held at 11 AM at Cutlerville East Christian Reformed Church, 501 68th Street SE, Grand Rapids, with her son, Pastor Ed Visser, and Pastor Les Wiseman, officiating. The service will be livestreamed at www.cutlervilleeast.org. Interment will be in Winchester Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice or World Renew-Disaster Response Services.

She lived. She died. She lives!
