1/28/1922 - 8/23/2023 Dorothy Irene (Vos) Folkema, age 101 of Kentwood went to be with her Lord on 23^rd day of August 2023.  She grew up in Lowell, MI and later moved to Grand Rapids.  After her husband served in WWII they owned and operated the Pine Lodge Motel until her retirement when she spent time traveling and many months each year in Palmetto, Florida.  Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Harold Sr. of 63 years in 2005 and infant grandchildren, Jamie Poll and Danny Poll.  She is survived by her children, Janneth and Kenneth Poll, Barbara Jourdan and Dennis Kellermeier, and Harold Jr. (Harry) and Kathleen Folkema, grandchildren, Kent (Debi) Poll, Holly Poll, Sara (Marty Burgess), Kevin (Nikki) Daley, Josh (Amy) Daley, Emily Folkema, Eric Folkema, and Gregory Kellermeier, and great grandchildren Madeline, Elise, and Griffin Poll; Alia, Aaron, and Jay Burgess; Zander, Abriella, and Royce Daley; Allison Daley; and Gardner Kellermeier; a sister-in-law Dorothy Lubberts Carnahan, a special niece Marilyn (Kosters) Van Singel, and several other nieces and nephews.   She was also preceeded in death by siblings Cora (Frank) Kloostra, Frances (Nolan) Barks, Adrian (Bill) (Lillian) Vos, John (Barb) Vos, and Norma (Gerald) Brown, in-laws, Evelyn (William) Looman, Alice (Calvin) Rose, Simon (Lorraine) Folkema, Ida Ruth (Alan) Kosters, Franklin (Viveen) Folkema, Raymond Lubberts, and Othal (Sam) Carnahan.  On Tuesday August 29, 2023, there will be visitation at 10:00 AM and a memorial service at 11:00 AM at Home Acres Reformed Church, 21 Murray Street SE, Kentwood, MI, officiated by Rev.
