Garry Junior “Dutch” Veldhouse, age 80, of Byron Center, MI, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, August 30, 2023.  He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Tena Veldhouse; brothers, Howard Veldhouse and Roger Veldhouse; sister, Judy (Gordon) Sterken; sister-in-law, Marlene Veldhouse; brother-in-law, Gerald DeYoung.  Lovingly remembering Garry is his wife of 61 years, Betty; children, Pamela (John) Jones, Dale (Dana) Veldhouse, Cyndee (Jim) Gochanour, Kari (Ryan) Minkus; grandchildren, Nichole (Nick), Dan, Denae (Brady), Darcee (Alex), Dellen, Devin, Chelsey (Dan), Caleb; great-grandchildren, Peyton, Owen, Ezra, James, Keerti, Andrew; brothers and sisters, Marvin Veldhouse, Norm (Sandy) Veldhouse, Sharon (Jack) VandenBerg, Donna (Larry) Terrell, Sandy (Bruce) Lutz; sisters-in-law, Joyce DeYoung, Shirley (Ed) VanDyke, Sue Veldhouse, Jeri Conklin; many nieces and nephews.  The family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday, September 5, from 10 AM to 12 Noon prior to the service at the church.  The funeral service will be held at 12 Noon, on Tuesday, September 5, at Heritage Christian Reformed Church, 3089 84th St. SW, Byron Center, 49315, with Pastor Dan Mouw officiating.  Interment will be in Winchester Cemetery.  Memorial contributions in honor of Garry may be made to Byron Center Christian Schools.
