Elijah Terrell Holt was born May 2, 2005, and was the oldest of four children, Caiden, Kiyrah, and Kinzie born to Curtis and Brooke Holt. He passed away at the age of 18 on September 11, 2023. Elijah had a big heart and was a natural caretaker. He was a proud big brother starting at twenty months old. Throughout his life, Elijah had the rare ability to connect to kids of all ages and have fun. His genuine heart was seen and felt daily. He gave big hugs and had a smile that could fill the room. He loved God and had a compassionate soul. He did not judge anyone and just always had a way to make any situation peaceful, except when it came to competition. He loved being active and was very competitive. Basketball was his favorite but loved when we played a pick up game of ultimate frisbee. He worked hard at the things he was passionate about. He enjoyed time with his many friends. He made an impact with anyone he met and left an impression to last a lifetime. Elijah leaves to cherish his memory three siblings: brother, Caiden Holt, and two sisters, Kiyrah and Kinzie Holt; his parents, Curtis and Brooke Holt; grandparents, Kurt and Gail Gallert, and Diane Holt; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Elijah's family will greet visitors on Thursday, September 28, from 1:00 - 3:00 and 5:30 - 8:00 PM at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th Street SE, Grand Rapids. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 30, at Cornerstone Church, 1675 84th Street SE, Caledonia, with Pastor Coye Bouyer and Rev. James Hines officiating. Interment will be in Holy Corners Cemetery, Caledonia.
