Connie Ann Chrystan, age 77, of Grand Rapids, MI passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023. She was born in Grand Rapids to the late Don and Helen McDowell on December 5, 1945.

Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Chrystan; grandson, Hunter Ames; and brothers, Ron and Larry McDowell. 

Connie is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Carie (Kruis) Ames and Melissa Kruis (Tim Vos); her granddaughter, Chase Ames; step granddaughter, Kiersten Vos; sister and brother-in-law, Dennis and Pam Eardley; several nephews, nieces and dear friends.

Connie was a feisty, fun-loving, and caring person who struggled over the years with a devastating health condition that impacted her physically and mentally, but her love for her family never wavered during these struggles. She will be missed. We thank the many individuals at SKLD Beltline for the care and kindness they provided over the years while Connie was a resident.    

There will be a graveside service at 10 AM on Saturday, October 7, in Blain Cemetery, 1205 68th St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI.  Rev. Dr. Curtis Thompson will officiate.
