Dorothea "Dort" Koopman, age 92, of Byron Center, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, October 16, 2023. Dort was very active in her church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, on April 1, 2019.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children Ronald (Chris) Koopman, Robert (Kris) Koopman; grandchildren, Kimberly (Adam) Clark, Kevin (Sharon) Koopman, Kurt (Alyssa) Koopman, Andrew (Jamie) Koopman, Erin (Tyler) Tacoma; 12 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Don Mingerink, Ken (Sally) Mingerink, Caroline (Doug) Billings, and Marilyn (Jim) Russell. The family will greet visitors on Saturday, October 21, from 9:30 - 11:15 am at Woodhaven Reformed Church, 3959 68th St. SW, where the funeral service will begin at 11:30 am. Rev. James Goldschmeding will officiate. Interment will be in Winchester Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Cran Hill Ranch or Corewell Hospice.
