Larry M. Wheaton, age 71, of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 22, 2023. He was preceded in death by parents, Bud and Cleo Wheaton. Larry will be lovingly remembered by his daughters; Liz (Jimmy) Bayne, and Sarah (Nate) Vlietstra; son, Michael; grandchildren, Henry, and Wesley Vlietstra; brothers, Rick (Deb) Wheaton, Gary Wheaton, Ron Wheaton, and nieces and nephews. He will be fondly remembered by Pam Wheaton. Larry worked for many years as a tool and die product engineer and most recently as a school bus attendant for Dean Transportation.  Larry was full of wit and humor but seldom liked to be the center of attention so in lieu of a funeral service, he would want you to cheer for the University of Michigan football team this weekend.
