Henry John Blaquiere III, age 73, of Shelbyville, entered his heavenly home on Friday, February 9, 2024. Henry owned Blacquiere Masonry Co. for 40 years. He loved being with his family, motorcycling, boating, having coffee with his friends, traveling to Florida for the winter, and going to the waffle house with his grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Catherine Blacquiere; his brother, Robert Blacquiere, and infant son, Johnathon Blacquiere. Henry will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 49 years, Gloria; children, Maaike (Joseph) Dombrowski, Marcie (Scott) Masselink; grandchildren, Katherine, Calvin Dombrowski, Westyn, Aidyn, Oaklyn Masselink; brother, Bill (Carol) Blacquiere; sister, Mary (Bryan) Prins; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jane Blacquiere, Gregory (Deb) Geukes, Gary Geukes; many nieces, nephews, and close friends. The family will greet relatives and friends from 5 - 7 pm on Wednesday, February 14, at Stroo Funeral Home, and on Thursday, February 15, from 10 - 11 am at Gun Lake Community Church, 12200 W M 179 Hwy, Wayland, where the funeral service will begin at 11 am. Pastor Dan Beyer will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice.
