Ellen Mae Juhnke, age 66, went to be with her Lord on Friday, February 9, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Juhnke; her mother, LaVonne Apol, father, Pierson "Bud" Apol; and her brother, James Apol. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Luke (Jennifer) Gessner, Chad Gessner and David Stock; sister, Janice (Mark) McCormick; brother, Robert Apol; sister-in-law, Jane Apol, partner, Brian Isch; numerous nieces, nephews & friends. Ellen graduated from South Christian High School and spent her career helping others as a secretary in the pediatric intensive care unit at the Spectrum Health downtown campus. An avid University of Michigan fan, she always cheered her football and basketball teams on and wore their colors regularly. After retirement, she spent her time decorating and homemaking, swimming, attending U of M games when possible and spending time with her friends, neighbors, dogs and loved ones. There will be a visitation with family on Tuesday, February 27, at Journey Church, 9185 Cherry Valley, Caledonia starting at 12:00 noon followed by a memorial service at 2:00 pm.
