Richard Allen Dymond, age 76, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2024. Richard served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from AAA after 30 plus years of work. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and music, playing cornet trumpet in the MSU Band and in the Air Force Band.  He was preceded in death by his son, Allen; parents, Ernest and Miriam (Teliin) Dymond; and mother-in-law, Cristina Truax-Jones.  He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Jeannette; children, David (Kelly) Dymond, Desiree Dymond, Stuart Dymond, Nathan Dymond; grandchildren, Amelia, Maya, Bryce, Liam, Emme, Jocelyn; brother and sisters, James (Gladys) Dymond, Barbara (Albert) Jimenez, Cheryl Dymond, Marsha Hales; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Joan (Patrick) Young, Jeffrey (Erminia) Truax; and many nieces and nephews. The family will greet visitors from 5 to 8 pm on Friday, April 12, at Stroo Funeral Home; and on Saturday, April 13, from 10 - 11 am at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 1213 52nd St. SE, with the Mass of Christian Burial following at 11 am. Fr. Peter Vu as Celebrant. Interment will be in Blain Cemetery.
