Becky Lynn Purdom, age 72, of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. Becky was born and raised in Prinsburg, MN, and attended Central Minnesota Christian School. She worked as a medical Education Coordinator for 30 years and then became a coordinator for World Renew Disaster Response for several years before retiring. She enjoyed collecting rocks, gardening, collecting antiques, knitting and cross stitching, but loved being a grandmother most of all.  Her parents, Edward and Lenora June DeGroot, preceded her in death. Becky will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 52 years, Richard; daughters, Catherine (Chad) Buikema, Tina Purdom; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Naomi, and Jackson; brothers and sister, Barry (Marilyn) DeGroot, Bonny (Bob) Messer, Bryan (Sue) DeGroot; brother-in-law, Peter Purdom; sister-in-law, Deb (Kim Fox) Purdom; along with many nieces and nephews. The family will greet visitors on Sunday, April 7, from 4 - 7 pm at Covenant Christian Reformed Church, 7171 Willard Ave. SE. The funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, April 8,  at Covenant Christian Reformed Church, with Rev. Evan Heerema officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to World Renew Disaster Response.
