Frederick Allen "Fred" Tubergen, age 80, of Leighton Township, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024. Fred was a hard worker and kept busy. He was a social butterfly and a NASCAR fan. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Sharon (Maki) Tubergen; children, LeAnne (David) Hoekstra, Deb (Brian) Wagner, Randy Tubergen; granddaughters, Brandy (Kenny) Purcell, Paige (Josh) Modreske; great grandchildren, Eastin, Ellasyn, Emit, Conor, Shane; his beloved pet, Kenzie and Rico. Fred is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Hank Tubergen, Art Tubergen, sister-in-law, Gloria Tubergen, Sharon (Jerry) Poortenga, and Calvin (Deb) Tubergen. In lieu of a funeral service, a memorial open house and visitation will be held on Friday, April 19th from 4 - 7 pm at Stroo Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at a later date in Maple Grove Cemetery in Greenland, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
