Arloa (Arends) Visser, age 92, of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 20, 2024. She joins her beloved husband, Wesley, her father, mother, and two siblings. She is now at peace and free from pain. Arloa was born and raised in Zeeland, Michigan. She and Wes built a home in Grand Rapids shortly after their marriage. She had a kind, loyal heart and a tenacious, resourceful spirit. She began each day by faithfully reading her Bible. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Tom and Terri Visser, Debbie and Dean Whitney, Pat and Phil Spoelhof, Connie Visser, Merri Visser; grandchildren, Jessica Visser, Kendra and Greg Kucharek, Ryan and Silvia Whitney, Neil Whitney, Jeff Spoelhof, Jon and Rachael Spoelhof; great grandchildren, Aaron Visser and Owen Kucharek; sister-in-law, Barbara Kloosterman; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Arloa's family would like to thank Rose Garden and Faith Hospice for their kind and dedicated care. The family will greet visitors on Tuesday, April 23, from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 pm at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE. The funeral service will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, April 24, at Trinity United Reformed Church, 7350 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, with Rev. James Admiraal officiating. Interment will be in Winchester Cemetery.
